  • Jensen Interceptor S (LS2)

    Timeless style with modern performance

Originally built in December 1972 as a MkIII Jensen Interceptor, chassis 138/8230 was comprehensively re-engineered in 2008 by renowned Jensen specialists V Eight Ltd at Cropredy Bridge to ‘Interceptor S’ specification.

At the heart of this exceptional car is a 6.0-litre aluminium General Motors LS2 V8, as fitted to the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6. Producing an estimated 430bhp in non-catalyst form, this modern powerplant transforms the Interceptor’s performance while retaining its grand touring character. The engine is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission featuring a lock-up torque converter, complemented by a limited-slip differential.

The adoption of fuel injection significantly enhances drivability, reliability, and fuel efficiency, while the lightweight aluminium construction contributes to an approximate 200kg reduction in weight—resulting in a markedly improved power-to-weight ratio.

Further upgrades include Spax adjustable dampers and uprated springs, delivering sharper, more composed handling compared to the standard car. Subtle styling enhancements such as a deeper front spoiler and mesh grilles complete the ‘S’ specification.

Braking performance has been significantly enhanced with the addition of AP Racing 6-piston brake calipers. These high-performance components provide vastly improved stopping power, greater resistance to brake fade under sustained use, and superior pedal feel. The result is confident, consistent braking performance that complements the car’s increased power and makes it far more capable in modern driving conditions.

This example is presented in an elegant dark blue finish, beautifully complemented by a light tan interior. The cabin features diamond-stitched quilting to the seats and door cards, along with an engine-turned fascia, blending classic craftsmanship with a bespoke feel.

The car has been recently maintained by Cropredy Bridge Cars and has seen regular use by its current owner, including an enjoyable trip to Le Mans in 2025—testament to its usability and reliability.

We can confirm the car is in excellent condition throughout and drives superbly.

A rare opportunity to acquire a highly desirable Jensen Interceptor S—offering timeless styling with modern performance, upgraded braking, and true long-distance usability.
